James "Jimmy" C. Stokes, Jr.

James “Jimmy” C. Stokes, Jr., 68, of Orangeburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 569 Berry Street, Orangeburg.  Pastor Hoke Robinson will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Memorial Church of the Nazarene prior to the service.

Jimmy was born on August 27, 1956, in Orangeburg County.  He was the son of the late James C. Stokes, Sr. and the late Blondell Thomas Stokes.  He was a truck driver for many years until his retirement.  Jimmy loved fishing at Stump Hole Landing, going to the Nazarene Camp Meeting and traveling to the mountains with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Krista Smith Stokes; sisters, Joyce S. Nettles (David), Janice S. Johnson (Randy) and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and additional family.
