James E. Kinard of Orangeburg died Friday, February 15, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
The casket will be one hour before the funeral services.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., in Orangeburg, SC with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Shane Stutzman and Rev. Jim Parnell officiating.
Mr. Kinard was born May 16, 1936 in Bamberg, SC; the son of the late James A. Kinard and the late Mozelle Blume. He was a member of the Equality masonic Lodge; member of Northside Baptist Church. He was also an avid Braves and Gamecock fan. He was known by his grandchildren at "Tootsie Roll".
Survivors include 2 daughters, Leslie K. (Kent) Jarrell of Cope, SC, Paige (Jeff) Mixon of Orangeburg, SC; 1 son, Marty (Brenna) Kinard of Orangeburg, SC; 8 grandchildren, Erin Jarrell of Orangeburg, SC, Brooke Jarrell of Summerville, SC, Stephanie Kinard of Cope, SC, Marty Kinard, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC, Kelley Craven and Laurie Craven both of Columbia, SC, Claire Craven and Kinard Craven both of Orangeburg, SC; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Nancy Drew of Columbia, SC; 1 brother, Donnie Kinard of Orangeburg, SC.
