James (Jim) Millard Adcock, Jr., 59 of Pine Hill passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 28,2016 at Pine Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brandon Fulmer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Mr. Adcock was born on January 4, 1957 in Baltimore City, MD. He was the son of the late James Millard Adcock, Sr. and the late Mitzi Baldwin Adcock. He graduated from Willington Academy in 1975. He was a member of Pine Hill United Methodist Church where he served as the active Chairman of Council. Mr. Adcock was the Co-Owner of Tri-County Pet Services. He worked as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the Orangeburg area for over 38 years. Mr. Adcock served as both Orangeburg County Coroner and Deputy Coroner for 8 years. He was a past member of the South Carolina State Board of Funeral Service. Mr. Adcock served as a past Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of the Central Coastal Group of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Lombr.
Survivors include, his wife, Karen Bonnette Adcock of the home; daughter Ashlyn Adcock (Jason) Gray; grandson, Parker Jacob Gray; a sister Janice Lombr, all of Orangeburg; a half-brother Glynn Synder of Columbia and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at his residence or the residence of his daughter.
