Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Highland Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev. Stephen Broome officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Keith Bonnette, L.W. Irick, Jim Franklin, Ronnie Williamson, Dennis Thompson and Ray Blankenship. Honorary Pallbearers will be Employees of Williams Auto Electric and Black River Marine and Green Growing Sunday School Class
He was born December 13, 1936 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late John Gary Williams and the late Lillie Mae McDonald Williams. He was owner and operator of Williams Auto Electric and Black River Marine. He worked 27 years as Service Manager for Wannamaker Motors. He was an active member of Highland Baptist Church; a member of the Orangeburg Calhoun Technical Advisory Board and Cope Area Vocational Center Advisory Board. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He cherished his family and loved his grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Tina Bledsoe Williams of Orangeburg; 2 sons; Ricky Williams and Andy Williams both of Orangeburg; 3 daughters; Diane Johnson of North, Linda Johnson of Orangeburg and Debbie and William Hair of North; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
