James D. "Jimmy" Grice, Jr. ,66 of Neeses died Wednesday March 6, 2013

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Pastor Brad Willis directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg

Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred Bridges, Tony Kittrell, Roy Proffitt, J.C. "Johnny" Cook, Richard Lighthall and Terry Snell

He was born October 8, 1946 in Aiken County, SC; the son of the late James David Grice, Sr. and the late Maurine Johnson Grice. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; Shirley Odom Grice of Neeses; daughters; Shelby F. Grice of Neeses and future son-in-law; Alex Berry of Johnston, SC; Jamey D. Grice of Neeses; a son; J. Allen and Erica Thomas of Walterboro, SC; daughter; Stacey Thomas of Goose Creek, SC; 5 granddaughters; Madison, Meredith and Miranda Thomas all of Walterboro; Kara and Aimee Kenefick of Goose Creek; a sister; Diane Grice and Davis Snipes of Aiken; special aunt and uncle; Elizabeth "Happy" and Fred Bridges of Aiken; Loving Mother-in-law; Margaret Odom of Orangeburg; 2 sister-in-laws; Terri and Gage Mizzell of Orangeburg; Joyce and Joe LaMonica of Massachusetts; and a brother-in-law; Richard "Dick" and Jody Odom of Rock Hill, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.

VISITATION WILL BE HELD 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
