James Maurice Jumper,77, passed away Saturday, 10/10/2015 at White Oak Manor of Spartanburg, S.C.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Terry McMillan will be officiating.
Mr. Jumper was born on November 28, 1937 in Gilbert, S.C. He was the son of the late Haney Brice Jumper and the late Estelle Senn Jumper Keisler. He was retired from the United States Army after 23 years of service. He was also employed by Utica Tool as a tool and die maker. He was pre-deceased by his step-father Wilbur C. Keisler and a sister, Minnie Ruth Jumper Taylor.
Survivors include his wife Theressa Smith Jumper of Boiling Springs, S.C.; 1 daughter and son-in-law; Kellie and Jamie Carson of Wellford, S.C.; 1 granddaughter Jordan Isabella Carson; 1 grandson Brandon James Carson both of Wellford, S.C.; 1 sister Hanette J. Yenny of Leesville, S.C.; 2 step-brothers, Larry J. Keisler and Bobby C. Keisler both of Lexington, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. His grandchildren, Jordan and Brandon were the apple of his eye.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. on Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. prior to the funeral service
