James Marcus "Mark" Danford, Jr., 62 of Elloree died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, July 27, 2013 the at Fellowship of Praise in Santee with Pastor Tim Sanders officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg
He was born February 23, 1951 in Orlando, Florida; the son of the late James M. Danford, Sr. and the late Jesse Ruth Gatlin Danford. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the College of Orlando with Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts; a graduate Summa Cum Laude from Southeastern University with Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Education Degrees; Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia Junior College with a Paralegal Degree. He was a former employee of Mullis Law Firm.
Survivors include 1 daughter; Rachel Danford Perrine Silva and her husband Carlos of Montclair, NJ; 1 son; James "Jamie" Marcus Danford III and his wife; Dr. Leah Zissett Danford of Columbia, SC; 2 granddaughters; Scarlett-Diana Destiny Perrine of Montclair, NJ; Mercy James Danford of Columbia; 1 grandson; Joseph Grady Danford of Columbia; 2 sisters; Carolyn Danford McGowan of Clearmont, FL; Marcia Kay Danford of Sedgwick of Naples, FL; 1 step-granddaughter Hanna Silva of Montclair, NJ and 1 step grandson; Jonathan Silva of Montclair, NJ; 1 niece; Tiffany Kayla Sedgwick of Naples, FL; 1 nephew; Jeremy Sedgwick of Naples, FL.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
