James Anthony Spires, 52, died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Methodist Oaks.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. Ronald Glenn Spires officiating. Burial will be in West End Cemetery.
Mr. Spires was born August 24, 1961 in Orangeburg, a son of the late Jim B. Spires and the late Nancy McMichael Spires. He was employed with R S Land Clearing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman
Surviving is one son; Jamie Spires of St. Matthews, two daughters, Ashley Spires of Orangeburg and Tabatha and Bobby Freeman of Lexington; 2 grandchildren--Blake and Madison Freeman of Lexington; four brothers; Jimmy Spires, Ronnie Spires, Chris Spires, and Joe Spires all od St. Matthews; three sisters; Dianne and Gene Rucker, Brenda and Jimmy Lee Mitchell all of St. Matthews and Kay Crosby of Orangeburg.
The Family would like to give Special Thanks to Aquilla and Staff at The Methodist Oaks and to Grove Park Hospice and Etta Trussel.
Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 PM., Tuesday, January 21 2014 at the funeral home before the service.
