James A. Way

Mr. James A. Way of 232 Hodges Drive, Orangeburg, SC died at the Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church with burial at Crestlawn Cemetery.

Ministers in charge of the service are Rev. Shane Stutzman and Rev. Jim Parnell.

Mr. Way was born August 2, 1935 in Orangeburg County, the son of the late Perry William Way and Sarah McDaniel Way. He was in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a Mason. Mr. Way was a member of Northside Baptist church and was in the Cornerstone Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Brady Way of Orangeburg; a daughter Martha Griffith (Michael) of Panama City, FL; a son, James A. Way, Jr. (Shirley) of Calgary, Canada,; three grandchildren, Michael Louis Griffith and Madison Michael Griffith of Panama City, FL and Abigail Sarah Way of Calgary, Canada; 2 step grandchildren, Ashley Smith and Alitta Bardos of Calgary, Canada; 1 step great grandson, Hunter Bardos of Calgary, Canada; a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. or at the residence, 232 Hodges Drive, Orangeburg, SC.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home.
