James Welch

James Welch, 71, of Cordova passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Alan Woodward will be officiating.

Mr. Welch was born on December 10, 1953, in Canton, Ohio.  He was the son of the late Robert Hughes Welch and Donna Mae VanKirk.  He was employed with Whitman Mold for many years in the design department.  He was a member of the Orangeburg Elks Lodge #897.

Survivors include his sons, Jason Welch (Jeannette), Jacob Welch (Kenyah), Jonathan Welch, Jesse Welch; grandchildren, Katelyn Welch, Jaxon Welch; brothers, Robert Welch, Ronald Welch (Joy), David “Joe” Welch; sister, Laura Warstler (Shawn) and a number of nieces, nephews and additional family and friends.
