Janice Edwins Sanford, born February 6, 1948, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Janice will be remembered as a devoted homemaker who built her life around the people she loved most. She loved her family deeply, and that love was felt in the everyday moments she shared with them. She enjoyed spending her time doing puzzles and playing cards each week with her extended family, creating memories through laughter, conversation, and togetherness. She also enjoyed bingo, another simple pleasure that brought joy to her days.
She shared more than 57 years of marriage with her beloved husband, James Sanford, a lasting bond that stood as a testament to love, commitment, and family. She is also survived by her daughter, Kristie Michelle Sanford Conklin, and by her son, James “Robbie” Sanford, Jr. (Tara). Her love continued through the next generations in her grandchildren, Ashley Miller (Joe), Danny Conklin, Megan Conklin. Hannah Sanford, Jacob Sanford, and James R Selleck, III. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathy Tatum (Tom), Joyce Charpia and numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward the warmth of her love and the memory of the place she held in their lives.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Henry Oliver Edwins; her mother, Mary Isabelle Phillips; and her son-in-law, Chip Conklin.
