Jerome “Jerry” Strock

Jerome “Jerry” Strock, 70, of Cordova passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024.  He was born in Orangeburg, S.C. to the late Laurie J. and Nell Rutland Strock.

Jerry graduated from Edisto High School.  Upon graduation he went on to further his studies with additional training in micro-mechanics.  He retired from Husqvarna after many years in the Outdoor Testing Unit.

Jerry loved to dance.  He was a member of many shag groups and became an excellent dancer.  He enjoyed being with his family and his adopted dog, Dexter.

Survivors include his aunt, Mrs. Blanche Felder Rutland, and his cousins from the Rutland and Strock families.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Edisto Baptist Church, 2726 Carver School Road, Cope.  Rev. Alan Woodward and Rev. George Moore will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.
