Jimmy Nivens, Sr. , 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Bowman Memorial Cemetery in Bowman. The casket will be placed at the graveside 1 hour prior to the service.
Mr. Nivens was born on March 10, 1949 in York, S.C. He was the son of the late Kirk Nivens and the late Jessie Stone Nivens. He was predeceased by his daughter Angela Nivens.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy “Jay” Nivens, Jr. (Fran Bailey) of Rowesville; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
