Joann "Mim" Dukes Lane ,76 passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2014 at At Four Holes Baptist Church in Orangeburg With burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg With Rev. Tom McElhaney officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
PALLBEARERS will be Jamie Flake, Sean Fogner, Christopher Fogner, Jason Flake, Joey Flake, Cooper Black and Kyn Robinson.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS are the Adult Class V, Sara Robinson, Buster and Jane Flake, Dewall and Phyllis Waters, Willie and Susie Johnson, Betty Black and Carolyn Hartzog
Joann was born June 21, 1937 in Orangeburg, SC; the daughter of the late Tommy Doyle and the late Mattie Kemmerlin Dukes. She retired from Mabry Cancer Center in 1997. She was a member of Four Holes Baptist Church where she was an active member of Adult Class V and served as President of Four Holes Community Center. She was a member of Al Aska Shriners. She had a passion for sewing and also loved baking and making crafts for others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Holland Lane, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law; Terri and Gerald Medford of Simpsonville, SC; Patti and Wally Black of Gastonia, NC; Sandi and Jim Flake of Goose Creek, SC; and Dotti and Ben Matthews of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Shana and Abby Abraham, Rebecca Black, Jamie and Morgan Flake, Courtney Flake, Emily and Travis Blayton, Dorothy Matthews, Sean Fogner, Chris Fogner and Morgan Fogner and a great grandchild; Rylan Abraham. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, the family is requesting that donations be made toFour Holes Baptist Church; 1622 Four Holes Road; Orangeburg, SC 29115.
