John Michael Jackson

John Michael Jackson, 63 of Cordova died Sunday October 13, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

The Casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Victory Hill Church of God; 127 Southwest Circle; Cordova with Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will be held at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. He was born November 28, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida; the son of the late Robert M. Jackson and the late Caroline M. Ellsworth Jackson Hinton. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam War; he also served in the National Guard. He was a member of Victory Hill Church of God.

Survivors include his wife; Lois Taylor Jackson of Cordova; daughter; Marion M. Jackson of Cordova; granddaughter; Hope Michelle Taylor of Orangeburg; daughter; Tammy Lynn Fogle of Cordova; grandsons; Blake Cooper of Chapin; Seth Cooper of Cordova; daughter; Terri Myers of Orangeburg; grandchildren; Joshua Strock of Cordova; Ashley Strock and Christopher Myers both of Orangeburg; great granddaughter; Riley Strock of Cordova; 1 brother; Joseph M. Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters; Essie Bias and Annette Kirksey both of Baxley, GA and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to Victory Hill Church of God; P.O.
