John Teague

John Teague, 73, of Orangeburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Bethany Baptist Church, 125 Bethany Rd, Orangeburg.  Pastor Jim Broad will be officiating.

Mr. Teague was born on September 17, 1949, in Charleston, S.C.  He was the son of the late George C. Teague and the late Judith Cutrell Teague.  He served his country in the United States Air Force where he fought in the Vietnam War.  Mr. Teague was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church.  He loved singing in the choir and playing his guitar.  He was known for his “huge voice.” He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Joyce Powell and a nephew, G. Clint Teague.

Survivors include his brother, Clint Teague; nieces, Jennifer Burns (Donald), Judy Beck (Terry); nephew, David Teague (Donna) and a number of great nieces and great nephews.
