John David Williams, Sr, 72 of 116 Durham Street; Cordova died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. Larry Williams and Rev. Todd C. Jeffcoat officiating, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg
He was born June 19, 1940 in Newberry, SC; the son of the late William Boyce Williams and the late Lillie Mae Goff Williams. He served in the U.S. Army and was owner of William Enterprises.
Survivors include his wife; Joyce Vallentine Williams of the home; 2 sons; Kent Williams of Cordova and John David Williams, Jr. of Cope; 2 daughters; Beth W. Blackburn of Lexington; Kristi and Jay Turner of Leesville; grandchildren; Evan Williams of Orangeburg; Zachary Blackburn of Cope; Seth Blackburn of Lexington; Kaitlynn Turner of Charleston and Ashlynn Turner of Leesville, SC; 1 brother; Frances M. "Bully" and Deanie Williams of Orangeburg; 1 sister; Kate and John Robinson of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the residence; 116 Durham Street, Cordova and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
