Joseph “Pat” Patrick Garrick

Joseph Patrick “Pat” Garrick, 76, of Orangeburg passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 after an illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Four Holes Baptist Church, 1622 Four Holes Road, Orangeburg.  Rev. Don Bell will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kevin Garrick, Bart Sampson, Ben Stevenson, Chance Spires, Jackson Bronson and Mike Pooser.

The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service and immediately following the service.

Pat was born on September 21,1947 in Orangeburg.  He was the son of the late Hubert Garrick and the late Prudence Fogle Garrick.  He was a graduate of Orangeburg High School.  After high school he joined the United States Army National Guard Reserves.  He was employed for many years with Orangeburg County as a Shop operator.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Garrick, a sister, Peggy (Ed) Stevenson, niece, Debbie Stevenson, nephew, Stevie Stevenson and a grandson, Nicholas Bronson.

Survivors include his nieces, Tammy Stevenson, Shelia G. Freeman (Dr. John), Taylor S. Baker (Tanner), Emma A. Stevenson, Mary Grace Stevenson, Stacey B. Nichols (Ralph); nephews, Dr. John E. Garrick (Julie), Kevin H. Garrick (Tommi), Ben E. Stevenson; great Niece, Charlotte Ann Philbeck; sister-in-law, Grace G. Price; former wife and constant friend, Jan Bozard; “special sons,” Billy Bronson, (Melissa), Eric Bronson (Marcia), his predeceased nephew’s wife, Cindy S. Philbeck; six grandchildren, Paige, Tracy, Bradley, Jackson, Devin Bronson, Chance Spires and many more family and friends.

Memorials may be made in Pat’s honor to a charity of one’s choice.
