Kenneth M. Herring

Kenneth M. Herring, 83, of Orangeburg, SC left this world on Friday, February 9, 2024 with family by his side, following a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel,1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.

Kenneth was born on February 14, 1940 in Orangeburg to the late Eva Haddock also of Orangeburg.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Herring Kirkland and a son,Richard M. Herring.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 63 years, Barbara Herring; a son, Kenneth T. (Megan) Herring of Orangeburg, S.C.; a daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Herring Pope of Harleyville, S.C.; ten grandchildren, Chris (Cary) Hopkins, Kyle (Liz) Herring, Tara (Jason) McKissick, Tiffany (Chuck) Noell, Matt (Larissa) Herring, Megan Herring, Ryan Kirkland, Taylor (Tiffany) Kirkland, McKelden Herring, Ewan Herring, and twenty-one great grandchildren with another one on the way.

This world has truly lost a wonderful man so full of life and love; he will be greatly missed by many.
