Kenneth "Tarzan" Wisher

January 13, 1942 — December 19, 2024

Kenneth “Tarzan” Wisher, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, surrounded by his family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Smoak Family Cemetery off of Cannon Bridge Road in Cordova.  Pastor George Moorer will be officiating.  Masonic Rites will be rendered.

Mr. Wisher was born on January 13, 1942, in Gaffney, S.C.  He was the son of the late Edward Wisher and the late Carrie Lee Benton Byers.  He was employed for over 38 years with Delavan Spray Technologies in Bamberg.  Once he retired, he was able to enjoy camping and making woodwork crafts for family and friends.  He was a member of the Ornan Masonic Lodge #38 in Bamberg.  Mr. Wisher was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Donna Moreno, great-grandson, Carson Wisher, brothers, Lee Martin, Crawley Wisher, sisters, Marie Porter and Dot Guffey.

Survivors include his wife of over 38 years, Janie Smoak Wisher; sons, James “Jamie” Wisher (Katrina), David Aubrey Smith (Kaye); daughters, Angie W. Moreno, Stephanie W. Zorn (Jerry); sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, Robin Heffner (Geoffrey), Wanda Lemons, Rita Oaks and an additional number of family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff of Edisto Home Care and Hospice for their love, support and care during this difficult time.
