Lee G Rast

Lee G. Rast, 69 of Bowman died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2016 Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Bowman Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Etheridge.

Pallbearers are William Rast, Chris Jones, Willie Jones, Andy Lawrence, Chad Wiles and Gregory Wiles

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Bowman Fire Department

He was born November 13, 1946 in Orangeburg County, SC; the son of the late William G. Rast and the late Bessie Collins Rast. He was a member of Bowman Baptist Church; he was retired from Coburg Dairy and served in the National Guard; he was a member of Bowman Masonic Lodge #290. He was preceded in death by a brother; Lide Rast.

Survivors include his wife; Bernice Wiles Rast of Bowman; a son and daughter-in-law; Kevin G. and Dawn Rast of Ft. Drum, NY; grandchildren; Ashlee Rast, Jeryd Rast and Makayla Rast; great grandchildren; Malachi Rowe, Maison Rowe and Keigan Doxtater; a brother; Timothy D. (Susie) Rast of Chapin, SC and a sister; Angela J. Rast of Bowman and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.; 1012 Whitman Street; Orangeburg, SC 29115.
