Leila Evelyn (Nettles) Rudd

Leila Evelyn Nettles Rudd, 86, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Cattle Creek United Methodist Church in Rowesville. Rev. Doug Marchant will be officiating. Burial will follow at Cattle Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Leila was born on October 24, 1931 in Orangeburg County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Samuel Nettles and the late Leila Elizabeth Irick Nettles. She was a member of Cattle Creek United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Rudd, Jr. and her son, Joseph Arnold Rudd.
Survivors include her sisters, Myrtlene Wiles of Branchville, Irene Shumaker (Willis) of Bowman, Gloria Gates (Jerry) of St. Matthews; granddaughter, Rebecca Atkinson of Orangeburg and great-granddaughter, Aimee Atkinson of Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the residence of Jimmy and Charlotte Thompson at 2382 Cattle Creek Road in Branchville.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
