Shuler, 87 of Cameron died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Jericho Methodist Church with Reverend Roger Goupil officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg The family will receive friends after the Memorial Service She was born April 24, 1927 in Liberty Hill, SC; the daughter of the late Norman Smith Richards, Jr. and the late Leila Gamewell Lucas. She was retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Company. She was the widow of the late Donald J. Smith, Sr. and the late J. Hoyt Shuler; she was also preceded in death by a son; Norman"Dick" R. Smith and a brother; Norman Richards. Survivors include 1 son and daughter-in-law; Donald J. Smith, Jr. and Cheryl of Beaufort, SC.; stepdaughters; Donna Shuler Garrett and her husband James Garrett of Suwanee, GA; Camille Shuler Rowell and her husband, Bill Rowell of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Betty Shuler Smith and her husband, Elton Smith of Boerne, TX; 1 brother; Chesley L. Richards, Sr. of Clinton, SC; 2 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren and 3 nephews.
