Mr. Leroy Lewis Dantzler, age 94, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Generations Nursing Home in Batesburg, SC.
Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Thursday, before the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Thomas McElhaney is in charge of the service.
Burial is at Four Holes Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Dantzler was born January 17, 1918 in Orangeburg, SC, a son on the late Cisero Pinkney Dantzler and the late Regena Stephens Dantzler. He was a member of the Four Holes Baptist Church. Served in the US Army, a Veteran of World War II, a member of the V.F.W. and the Woodmen of the World. He was retired from Hygrade Meat Packing Co. and Quality Printing. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Maggie) Smith Dantzler, and his brothers; William Dantzler, Herbert Dantzler, and Leon Dantzler.
Survivors include is wife, Agnes Axson Nettles Dantzler of Orangeburg; step daughter, Betty Freeman of Georgetown and step granddaughter,Donna Redick of Georgetown; step daughter, Cynthia Nettles Sando of Chapin; step granddaughter, Whitney Wolfe Thoma of Orangeburg; and step great grandchildren, Noah Thoma and Regan Thoma both of Orangeburg.
