Lila Carter Headden, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Mizpah Baptist Church in St. Matthews. Burial will follow at Mizpah Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Luke Luesing will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randy Coleman, Clifton Zeigler, Benny Carroll, Robbie Carroll, Jim Alfred and Woody Dent.
Honorary Pallbearer will be James Arant.
Mrs. Headden was born on July 12, 1928 in Calhoun County. She was the daughter of the late Charley Carter and the late Ruth Yancey Carter Geddings. She was a secretary for the Calhoun County Magistrate’s Office. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Headden.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Headden of the home; daughter, Janet Headden of Sandy Run; daughter-in-law, Audrey Headden of Calhoun County; grandchildren, Daniel A. Darr and Rebecca Ann Darr; brother, Tommy Carter (Jeannie); sisters, Effie Inabinet (Symmes) and Billie Carter.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg.
