Lillie Mae C. Smoak, 98, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Calhoun Convalescent Home in St. Matthews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at West End Cemetery in St. Matthews.
Mrs. Smoak was born on January 27, 1919 in Calhoun County. She was the daughter of the late William Jacob Crider and the late Marie Jones Crider. She was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in St. Matthews. Mrs. Smoak was predeceased by her husband G.C. Smoak, Sr. and a son Grover (Buddy) C. Smoak, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie S. Gartman of St. Matthews; grandchildren, Vicky Parker (Eddie) of Elloree and Brenda Corbett (Tommy) of North; great-grandchildren, Kelly Marie Kemp of Elloree and George (Bubba) Franklin Kemp IV and a sister Elizabeth Mitchum of Summerville.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Calhoun Convalescent Center and Dr. Franklin Coulter for their help and support.
