Lina Jean Ulmer, 77 of Orangeburg died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery in Walterboro with Rev. Jim Parnell officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg.

Mrs. Ulmer was born April 18, 1937 in Bamberg County, SC; the daughter ofthe late William E. Elkins and the late Mary Pender Elkins. She was retired from Belk's and was the widow of the late George Donald Ulmer. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Elkins and Bobby Elkins and a sister, Genevieve Gunnells.
Survivors include a son; George Donnie and Janet Ulmer of West Columbia, SC; a daughter; Mary and Al Chavis of Orangeburg; 3 grandchildren; Melissa and Blake Amyx of Hirem, GA; Brian and Anna Ulmer and Clark and Brittney Baer all of Lexington; four brothers, Jim and Vernette Elkins of Barnwell, Doug and Linda Sue Elkins of Hampton, Wayne and Gayle Elkins of Olar, Ronnie and Marlene Elkins of Olar; five sisters; Lois and Jamie Sanders of Hampton, Chris Still of Barnwell, Brenda Sturkie of West Columbia, Mary Ann and Bill Weigand of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Debbie Elkins of Orangeburg; brother-in-law; Marshall and Patsy Ulmer of Ruffin and sister-in-law-Vernell Ulmer of Columbia.
Friends may call at her residence and at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.
