With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the unexpected passing of Lindsey Gail Berry on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 33. Born on October 30, 1992, Lindsey touched the world and all those around her with a vibrant spirit, profound kindness, and unwavering love for her family.

A native of Orangeburg, Lindsey was a proud graduate of Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College, where she earned her diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing. Driven by dedication and compassion, she brought her gifts to Jolley Acres Nursing Home in Orangeburg, serving as an LPN, where she loved her patients and her patients loved her.

To Lindsey, nothing in this world held greater value than her children, Khloe Berry, Kasen Berry, Bristol Proveaux and Bryer Proveaux. Her children were her heart’s proudest accomplishment, the source of her deepest joys and the recipients of her boundless love. Whether nurturing their dreams or simply spending precious moments together, Lindsey’s devotion was unmistakable.

Cherished memories of Lindsey are held close by those who survive her children: Khloe and Kasen; Bristol and Bryer; her significant other, Brad Proveaux; aunt, Cindy Crisp (Jerry) her uncle, Britt Weeks; her mother-in-law, Ledosta Bell (Tony); and her grandmothers-in-law, Betty Free and Beatrice Cooper and three cousins. Throughout her life, Lindsey was embraced by a circle of love that she gave back in full measure.

Lindsey’s days overflowed with simple joys and passions. She found solace and fulfillment in gardening and planting flowers. The beach was another of Lindsey’s treasured escapes—places where the sunshine and waves matched her vibrant outlook and free spirit. But above all, her most treasured moments were those spent laughing, loving, and creating lasting memories with her family.

In deep remembrance, we honor Lindsey’s loved ones who have gone before her: her father, Danny Syfrett, Jr.; her mother, Scarlett Syfrett; her brother, Ashton Syfrett; her grandfathers, Billy Weeks and Danny Syfrett, Sr.; and her grandmothers, Gail Elliott Gehry and Marion Davis Syfrett. Their spirits are surely reunited now, their love welcoming Lindsey home.

Family and friends whose lives were touched by Lindsey are invited to gather in remembering and celebrating her remarkable life. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026  from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 5 at 5:00 pm, followed by burial at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness, 2610 Ninety-Six Rd., Neeses, SC 29107.

Though her time with us was far too short, Lindsey Gail Berry leaves behind an enduring legacy of compassion, devotion, and love that will never fade. She will be forever missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
