IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lois (Croft)
Kirby
March 1, 1942 – January 23, 2026
Lois (Croft) Kirby, a cherished member of the Bamberg community, was born on March 1, 1942, in Bamberg, South Carolina. Lois left us on January 23, 2026, surrounded by the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
Lois graduated from Denmark Olar High School, but it was her commitment to family that truly defined her life. A devoted wife to her beloved husband, Donald Kirby, Sr., she created a nurturing home filled with laughter and support. Together, they shared countless memories and moments that will be held dear by all who knew them.
Her dedication to her children was unwavering, and she is survived by her sons: Allen Fisk and his wife Doris; Ray Fisk; Don Kirby; Dean Kirby; and Doug Kirby. Lois was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to numerous children, delighting in the blessings of her family and taking joy in every milestone they achieved.
Lois had two sisters, Hazel Bolen and Helen Padgett, who have been sources of strength and companionship in her life. Among her loved ones, her favorite niece, Lynn Carroll, held a special place in her heart, embodying the close-knit family bonds that Lois cherished.
Though she has departed from this world, Lois will be lovingly remembered by all for her passion for spending time with those she loved most. Unfortunately, she is preceded in death by her parents, George and Vinell Hiott Croft, her sons, Robbie and Kim Fisk, and her brother, Billy Croft and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Jacobs Fisk. Their absence has undoubtedly left a void in the lives of those left behind as they navigate this loss.
Friends and family are encouraged to celebrate Lois's life and the impact she made on each of their hearts. A visitation will be held on January 29, 2026, at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 3:00 PM. Lois will then be laid to rest at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kevin, J.R. Bobo Fisk, Michael Bellamy, Ayden Holt, and Carson Sheppard.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Lois' memory to the Shriners Children's Hospital at 950 W. Faris Road Greenville, S.C. 29605.
Though we say goodbye to Lois, her memory will forever sparkle in the hearts of her loved ones, and the love she shared will be cherished until they meet again.
