Louise New passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born on March 27, 1934, Louise lived a long life and will be remembered with love by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Tedder; her mother, Lottie Tanger Tedder; her husband, Sylvester New and a son, Ron New.

Louise leaves behind a  family who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her daughter, Terry Sherman of VA, and her son, Joseph New and his wife, Cedrina. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Beth New.

Her family also includes her grandchildren, Melissa Sherman (Tom), and Joshua Sherman. She was further blessed with great-grandchildren Amber, Josho, TD Thomas, Sara, Avery, Bradon, Chase, and Preston, as well as great-great-grandchild Madeline. Their lives stand as part of the lasting legacy she leaves behind.

A graveside service for Louise New will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Broughton Street, Orangeburg, located at 2720 Broughton St, Orangeburg, South Carolina 29115.

Louise New will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
