Lynette (Grimsley) Harris

January 22, 1946 — September 30, 2024

Lynette G. Harris, 78, of Mt. Pleasant formerly of Orangeburg passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Lynette was born in Franklin, Louisiana in 1946.  She was the daughter of the late Paten Grimsley and the late Geraldine Snell Boltin.  After graduating from Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College and USC-Salkehatchie, Lynette spent over 40 years in the medical field as a nurse, her passion was working in the Emergency Room.   Once retired she found joy in crocheting and spending time with her family.  Lynette was a loving mother and “Nett-Nett” to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Angel Moore (Eric) of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Evan, Andrew and Ava Moore; sisters, Roxanne Fruscella (John), Sandra Gunnells (Claude) and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Alan Woodward will be officiating.

Floral arrangements may be sent to Thompson Funeral Home, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
