Mabel Boltin Stevenson All, 81, of Orangeburg, died Friday, June 19, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Stephen Broome, Rev. Ted Still, and Bishop L. Keith Vaughn officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bradley All, Dennis E. Crosby, Drew Satre, George Corley, George C. Hodge, Taylor Murphy.
Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Green and Growing Sunday School Class.
Mabel was born May 4, 1934 in Orangeburg. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Espert Gilmore (Annie Lurine Cook) Boltin. She was married to Henry Jay Stevenson for 21 years where they were blessed with a daughter. Henry passed away in 1973. After years of waiting for the Lord to bless her with a new love, she married Ernest Ray All in 1982. They were married for 18 years and resided in Fairfax, SC where they enjoyed serving their Lord. They also farmed raising watermelons and peanuts. They loved hosting gatherings with their family, friends, children and grandchildren. Mr. Ernest went to be with his savior in 2000. Mabel was employed by Southern Bell where she retired after nearly 35 years of service. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Elks Does Drove #237, and the BellSouth Pioneers. She loved playing canasta with her friends several times a week. She was predeceased by a sister Priscilla B. Wannamaker. Mrs. Mabel was always a true Southern Belle with a smile on her face. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. God, family and friends were her life. She always offered an encouraging word and put others before herself. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her only daughter, Jimmy (Grace) Taylor, Jr. of North; four stepsons, Richard (Sylvia) All and Ernest All both of Barnwell, David All of Pelion and Jon All of Columbia; two stepdaughters, Connie Carson of Beaufort and Michael (Esther) Bridges of Allendale; three grandchildren; Britton Jay Taylor of North, Andrew (Jennifer) Satre of Greenville, Taylor (April) Murphy of Barnwell; a sister, Mary Olivia Crosby of Cordova and many step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She also had a granddog, "Tex" that will miss his Granny.
Friends may call at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy (Grace) Taylor, Jr. and Thompson Funeral Home, Inc in Orangeburg.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, June 22, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Grove Park Hospice, 1324 Grove Park NE, Orangeburg, SC 29115 or Highland Baptist Church, 4695 North Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses of Mabry Cancer Center and Grove Park Hospice and caregivers Peggy Murray and Patricia Smalls.
