Mack Clinton Stillinger, Sr. 92 of 3189 Bamberg Road; Orangeburg passed away on Sunday, 10/11/15 at his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Entombment will be at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Larry Wannamaker will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be James Felder, Al Mitchell, Brandon Robinson, Eric Ryan, Danny Edwards and Pete Shinaberry

He was born May 26, 1923 in Neeses, SC; the son of the late Lila Mae Walling Stillinger and the late David Daniel Stillinger. He was a 1941 graduate of Willow Swamp High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was the owner of Stillinger's Construction and the founder of Stillinger's Wrecker Service. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corp. (U.S. Air Force). His hobbies included: flying helicopters, attending auctions and playing cards with his family. He was the widower of the late Henrietta Dantzler Stillinger and was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Herman Stillinger, Archie Stillinger and L.O. Stillinger and 2 sisters; Lillie Stillinger Black and Leila Stillinger Hughes.

Survivors include a brother; Athell Stillinger of Bolentown; his children; Evelyn S. Banks; Diann S. (Lem Ferguson) Infinger; Mack C. (Carroll) Stillinger, Jr.; David M. (Beverly) Stillinger and Deborah S. Byrd all of Orangeburg; grandchildren; Rietta I. (Aaron) Maier, David R. Banks, Jr. and Dana R. Banks; great grandchildren; Cierra F. Banks and Leigha E. Maier all of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at his residence; 3189 Bamberg Road, Orangeburg, SC and at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., in Orangeburg.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Becky Hawkins and Brandy Hargrove from the Circle of Love, Regency Hospice and Chris Nettles, Sheila and Delores.

In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to a charity of one's choice.
