Mamie (White) Mcdaniel

Mamie L. McDaniel, 98, of Orangeburg, S.C. passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church, 4305 Columbia Road Orangeburg.  Rev. Daryl Wilkins will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Mamie’s grandsons along with a special family friend.

Mrs. McDaniel was the widow of Woodrow McDaniel.  She was predeceased by her parents, Julia Jackson White LaFrance and Frances White.  She was raised by her loving step-father, Frank LaFrance.

Survivors include her four children, Burney McDaniel (Betty), Benny McDaniel (Donnita), Peggy Dority, Barbara Myers (Larry); she also had a loving family of eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; siblings, George LaFrance (Hattie), Lewis LaFrance (Mary Ann), Ralph LaFrance, Marcella LaFrance Jackson and a special friend, Myrtle Moseley.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
