Mamie (Chavis) Weaver

Mamie Chavis Weaver sadly passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the age of 88.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Pastor Darrell Wilkins will be officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree St. West Columbia.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Samuel “Todd” Williams, Joshua Watts, Natalie Nelums, Eric Hughey, Jr., DeShawn Hughey and Joseph Davis.

She left behind a daughter, Edna Ross; brother, Nazroe Chavis; grandchildren, Traci (Chris) Watts, Deanna McNealy, Samuel “Todd” Williams, Pam (Antonio) Chavis Toombs; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Evelena Chavis, six sisters and four brothers.
