Manning Fogle, Jr

Mr. Manning H. Fogle, Jr., 79, of Orangeburg, husband of Maggie Fanning Fogle, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Thursday, May 19, 2016, following a brief illness.

The family will have a visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church, 594 Calvary Church Road, Neeses, with Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Aaron Keitt and Joshua Keitt and nephews, Tim Garrick, Lee Fogle, David and Rusty Fogle.

Manning was born on May 10, 1937. He was the son of the late Manning Fogle, Sr. and the late Modelle W. Fogle. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses where he enjoyed being a member of the choir and teaching Sunday School. Mr. Manning also acted with loyal Christian servitude in many other capacities over the years. Manning formerly served in the United States Air Force. He was formerly employed with Utica Tool Company for 20 years, American Yard Products for 10 years and Electrolux. He was an avid jogger and greatly enjoyed his daily work-out regimen. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, L.O. Fogle and a sister, Shelby Garrick Lemmons.

In addition to his wife, Manning is survived by 2 children, a son, Dale H. Fogle, I (Terri) of Woodbridge, VA and a daughter, Patricia Keitt (Stuart) of Blythewood, S.C.; 8 grandchildren, Dale Fogle, II, Aaron Keitt, Jason Fogle, Joshua Keitt, Alex Fogle, Kayla Keitt Scott, Brianna Keitt and Brittany Fogle; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Coker Fogle (Margaret Ann) of Norway, S.C. and James Fogle (Sandra) of Hilda, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Grove Park Hospice for their care and support during Manning's illness.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 88, Neeses, S.C. 29107.
