Margaret H. Carson, 85 of 201 Fortress Drive, Chapin died Wednesday October 7, 2015, at Lowman Home in Chapin.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Wayne Ellis officiating.
She was born March 9, 1930 in Orangeburg County, SC; the daughter of the late Harry Houck and the late Lottie Cook Houck. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Bell South and was a member of the Pioneers of America. She was the widow of the late David C. Carson, Jr. and was preceded in death by a son; David C. "Cooter" Carson III and by a brother; Gerald Houck.
Survivors include a daughter; Linda and Dan Jordan of Irmo, SC; 4 grandchildren; Wendy and Brad Bramblett of Chapin; Danny Jordan of Irmo; Jeffery and Stacy Jordan of Walkertown, NC and Kristen and Brian Barry of Orangeburg; 12 great grandchildren and a sister; Lois Byrd of Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday before the service at the funeral home.
