Margaret Whittle Irick,  92 of Orangeburg passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at her residence

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday in the new Fellowship Hall at St. George Baptist Church before the Service.

Funeral  Services will be held  3:00 PM Sunday, July 1, 2018 at St. George Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial in the church cemetery with Dr. David Anderson officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Pallbearers  will be  Trenton Lee Chavis, Tyler Hamilton Chavis, Tanner Glenn Chavis, Robert Bonnette, Jeff Irick and Donnie Whisenhunt.

She was born January 21, 1926 in Neeses, SC; the daughter of the late William Leslie Whittle and the late Izetta Bright Tindal Whittle. She was a member of St. George Baptist Church; a private duty registered nurse. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher, she loved music and she loved her church. She was the widow of the late Willie John Irick and was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Irick and 2 sisters, Billie Whittle Adams and Betty Whittle Bonnette.

Survivors  include 2 daughters, Deborah Irick Whisenhunt and Clyde of Cope; Camilla Irick Chavis and Mark of Orangeburg and a son; Spencer Irick and Vicki of Orangeburg; grandchildren; Shelley Crawshaw and Brian of Sumter, Brad Irick of Sumter, Trenton Chavis of Charleston, Shembra and Robert Erxleben of California, Tyler Chavis of Charleston, Tanner Chavis of Charleston and 2 great grandchildren; Madison and Ashley.
