Margie Elaine Chestnut

Margie Elaine Chestnut, 81, of Neeses passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Alan Woodward will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 2, 2024, prior to the funeral service and at other times at the home of Michael and Stephanie Chestnut.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Seth Chestnut, Richard England, Mark Staton, Ryan Pulaski, Mikie Templeton and Huey Robinson.

Mrs. Margie was born in Orangeburg, S.C. to the late Edward Taylor and the late Yuri Hilton Taylor.  She had many hobbies that she enjoyed including, reading and watching her grandson play baseball, but her family was her passion.  She loved being “Aine” to her grandson.  She will forever be missed.

Survivors include her son, Michael Chestnut (Stephanie); daughter, Robin England (Richard) and her grandson, Seth Chestnut (Darbi).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emory Chestnut and a son, Brian Chestnut.
