Marilyn Grooms Bowman, 55 of Orangeburg died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Pruitt Healthcare in Orangeburg.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM before the service

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Pastor Michael Reid and Pastor John Sharpe officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Earl Shoemake, Sr., Bobby Shoemake, Johnny Shoemake, David Earl Shoemake, Jr., Jason Beachman and Benjie Williamson

She was born March 9, 1959 in Richland County, SC; the daughter of Betty Ruth Kemmerlin Grooms and the late Thomas Milton Grooms.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Mary Bunch of Bamberg and Nikki Bowman of Orangeburg; 3 grandchildren; Nadia Bowman and Nathan Milligan both of Orangeburg and Haven Bunch of Bamberg; her Mother; Betty Ruth Kemmerlin Grooms of Orangeburg; 3 sisters; Kem Williams, Barbara Foxworth and Margaret Grooms all of Orangeburg also 1 nephew, 2 nieces and a number of cousins.

Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Nikki Bowman; 1944 Rollingwood Court; Orangeburg, SC 29115 and at the funeral home.

THE FAMILY WILL RECIEVE FRIENDS AT her daughter Nikki's residence; 1944 Rollingwood Court; Orangeburg from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2014; also from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday before the service at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
