Marjorie B. “Margie” Goolsby, 74,  passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.   Rev. Thomas G. Baltzegar, Rev. Kenny Baltzegar and Rev. Kevin Sprague  will be officiating.

Mrs. Marjorie was born on July 29, 1942 in Neeses, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Baltzegar and the late Myrtle Callahan Baltzegar.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Orangeburg.  She was a former employee of Ambler Industries in Orangeburg.  Margie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her children, grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.  They all knew her as “Gigi.”  She was predeceased by her husband Ralph “Bubba” Goolsby, III.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl and Wesley Keitt of Norway, Michelle and Russell Breault of Orangeburg; 5 grandchildren, Kye Keitt (Britany) of Neeses, Trenton Wolfe (Amber) of Cordova, Haven Keitt of Norway, Audriana Breault and Jackelyn Breault both of Orangeburg; 3 great-grandchildren, Carson Keitt and Kryce Keitt both of Neeses and Trevor Wolfe of Cordova; 1 special great-niece, Laurie Sprague of Aiken and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Gray (Bobby) of Orangeburg and Vera Wood of Canaan.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Mabry Center for Cancer Care and Grove Park Hospice.
