Mark Randall Black

December 10, 1962 — May 2, 2024

Mark Randall Black, 61, beloved husband, father and Papa passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born in Orangeburg, S.C.  He was the son of the late Marion Black and Shirley Keller Black.  He was a carpenter by trade.  Mark was credited with helping to re-build the Rowesville Town Hall.   He enjoyed many different hobbies.  From racing dirt bikes, to fishing and going to the beach and the mountains.  His favorite hobby was being a “Papa.”  He adored his wife, daughter and his grandchildren.  Mark will be remembered for his selfless nature and willingness to help others. His legacy will continue through the hearts and lives of those that knew him and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Barbara Aultman Black; his daughter, Krista Black (Kyle); his grandchildren, Audrianna Black, Jaxson Smith; mother, Shirley Keller Black; sister, Sharon Yarbrough (Robbie); brother, Kevin Black (Ann); mother-in-law, Jeanette Aultman; nieces and nephews, Ashlyn Boykin (Brandyn), Aaron Blackmon, Greyson Yarbrough, Sarah Black; great-niece, Ansleigh Boykin; his best friend and cousin, Paul Bishop; many beloved cousins and an additional number of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents, Neal and Daisy Keller, his paternal grandparents, Marion and Ina Black and his father-in-law, “Junior” Aultman.

A service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Rowesville Town Hall, 309 River Drive, Rowesville.  Rev. Dr. William Hurst will be officiating.
