Martha (Roberts) Hasty

Martha Roberts Hasty, 90, of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Martha was born on January 10, 1935, in Orangeburg, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. Roberts and the late Audrey Knight Roberts.  She was a graduate of Orangeburg City High School.  Martha worked in her early years at the Orangeburg Cotton Mill and at the Smith Corona Plant in Orangeburg.  In her later years she would take care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife, Nanny and friend.  She was a member of Columbia Road Church of God.  She loved her church and her Sunday School Class and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her son, Allen Kinsey (Cathy); grandchildren, Josh Kinsey (Samantha), Whitney Cuevas, Jessica Kinsey, Jamey Kinsey, Chris Kinsey (Harriett); great-grandchildren, Lilli Reed, Aidan Kinsey, Blake Kinsey, Naythan Kinsey, Haylee Lykes, Averi Evans, Kaislei Kinsey, Connor Kinsey (Jordan) and Andrew Kinsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest David Hasty, a son, Lawrence David Kinsey and a brother, Lawrence W. Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Columbia Road Church of God, 2485 Columbia Road, NE, Orangeburg.  Rev. Travis Shirley and Rev. Ted Williams will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Columbia Road Church of God prior to the funeral service.
