The love Mary shared with her family was central to her life, and that bond will continue to be felt in the lives of all who knew her.
Mary Bradshaw Blume passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on March 25, 1957, Mary will be remembered with deep love for the warmth she brought to her family and for the simple joys that made her life her own.
Mary loved her family wholeheartedly, and one of her greatest joys was being “Nana.” She enjoyed reading Amish books, working puzzles, and watching Hallmark and Great American Family movies. She also loved collecting cows, and porcelain dolls, fond interests that will remain a sweet and memorable part of how those who knew her will remember her.
She leaves behind a loving family. Mary is survived by her daughters, Teresa Teran (Michael), and April Smith (Dwayne); and by her son, Lee Douglas. She was also dearly loved by her grandchildren, Megan Teran, Kyle Teran, Victoria Teran, and Hudson Smith, and by her great-grandchildren, Jaxson Baxley and Drake Baxley. She is also survived by her brothers, Ray Bradshaw and Terry Bradshaw and his wife Trish. The love Mary shared with her family was central to her life, and that bond will continue to be felt in the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Major Bradshaw; her mother, Agnes Wilder; her brother, Roy Bradshaw; her sister, Linda Cook; and Mike Pursley, the love of her life and her fiancé.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to S.C.O.A. in Mary's memory at 166 Stoneridge Dr #100, Columbia, SC 29210.
Mary Bradshaw Blume will be remembered for her love, her gentle enjoyments, and the special place she held as "Nana." Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to those who loved her.
