Mary (Carr) Bradford

Mary Carr Bradford, 96, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.  She was the loving wife of the late Charles W. Bradford.

Mary was born in Orangeburg to the late H.V. Carr and the late Edna H. Carr on June 18, 1928.  She graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1947 and went to work for Southern Bell Telephone Company.  After several years she transferred to Augusta, GA and retired from Southern Bell Engineering Department after 30 years of service.  Mary had some very special family members, her grandfather, I.H. Hagood, her aunt Mamie Smith, and her cousin, Lynwood Smith.  She became a second grandmother to Lynn, Corey, Chelsea, Sharlo and Monty Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her only granddaughter, Robbi Moore.

Survivors include her only daughter, Brenda R. Moore and her great-granddaughter, Sunny Carter; stepdaughter, Glenda Hamilton and her very special friend, Edith Phillips.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg.  Pastor Hank Fanning will be officiating.
