Mrs. Mary Evans Golden, 77, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at her residence in St. Matthews, SC.
The funeral will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church at 3:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2016 with burial in Gethsemane Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Golden, Rev. Henry Cooper, Rev. Jim Parnell and Rev. John Rivenbark.
Pallbearers are Dr. Tommy Richardson, Marshall Spires, Troy Harper, Caleb Richardson, Jaime Richardson, Jacob Harper and Master Gavin Spires.
Visitation is Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., Orangeburg, SC.
Mrs. Golden was born October 14, 1938 in Clio, Alabama, a daughter of the late John H. Evans and the late Nettie Childress Evans. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Edward Franklin Golden.
Survivors include one son, Wayne and Elaine Golden of St. Matthews, SC; three granddaughters, Kayla Spires (Marshall) of Lexington, SC, Tricia Harper (Troy) of Swansea, SC and Wendy Richardson (Tommy) of Conway, SC; 6 grandchildren, Caleb, Jaime and Ciara Richardson, Gavin Spires, Jacob and Lauren Harper and 2 sisters.
Friends may call at the residence of Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Golden, 101 Copperhead Rd. St. Matthews, SC and at the Funeral Home.
