Mary Jean (Sherer) Howe

Mary Jean Howe,   83    of   Swansea  passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her home after a brief illness.

The family will receive friends from 3:00  to 4:00 PM before the service at  the church.

Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Sandy Run  in Gaston with burial in the church cemetery with Pastor Barry Pruitt  officiating  directed by  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Mrs. Howe was born on November 28, 1933 in Sharon, S.C.  She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Sherer and the late Jean Phillips Sherer.  Mrs. Howe was a member of First Baptist Church of Sandy Run.  She was predeceased by her husband, David W. Howe, Sr. and her son, David W. Howe,

Survivors  include her daughter, Charlene (James) Mullins of Swansea; grandchildren, Kayla Mullins and David Mullins both of West Columbia and Gabrielle Mullins of Swansea; great-grandson, James D. Mullins of West Columbia; brothers, Joe Sherer of Star, S.C. and Rev. Robert (Bob) Sherer of Troutman, N.C.

​Friends may call at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Visitation will be held  from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017 before the funeral at the church.
