Mary Hilda Way Williams Demaree, 89 of Orangeburg died Tuesday August 20, 2013.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 23, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Larry Williams officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jim Pennington, Jr., Rusty Williams, Rhett Passmore, Mitchell Passmore, Brendon Pennington and Matthew Pennington.

Honorary Pallbearers will Brian Chavis, Gerald Martin, George Brant, James Williams, David Nettles, Ricky Bouchette and Ricky Bannister.

Mary Hilda was born May 4, 1924 in St. George, SC; the daughter of the late Gus Eugene Way and the late Virgie Wimberly Way. She graduated from St. George High School. Mary Hilda worked over 21 years at US Plywood and 7 years at Garden City Baptist Daycare. She was a longtime member of Memorial Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and served wherever needed. She was preceded in death by her husbands and only daughter, Jean Passmore.

Survivors include sons; Jim and Gayle Pennington of Orangeburg; Clyde and Faye Williams of Cope and Russell Williams of Orangeburg; a brother; Ralph Way of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren; Jim and Nancy Pennington, Jr. of North; Shannon Williams of Georgia; Denise and Shane Inabinet of Orangeburg; Rhett and Grace Passmore of GA; Mitchell Passmore of GA; Rusty and Autumn Williams of Orangeburg; Brendon and Matthew Pennington of Columbia and a number of great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
