Maudelle Elizabeth Miller

Maudelle Elizabeth Summers Dukes Miller,88, of the Cattle Creek Community died at her residence on 11/21/14. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Branchville Christian Church in Branchville, S.C. burial will follow at Dukes Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Manning, Rev. Bobby Etheridge and Rev. Ken Hay will be officiating. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was born on July 5, 1926 in Orangeburg, County. She was the daughter of the late David Shellie Summers and the late Elizabeth Fairey Summers. She was a retired sales associate at Belk Hudson. She was a member of Branchville Christian Church in Branchville, S.C. She was predeceased by her parents, husbands, Olive Dukes and Chris Miller, a brother and a sister in law Cleo (Louise) Summers, a sister in law Virginia Summers, a grandson Joey Wimberly and a step-mother Mary Lou Summers.

Survivors include 2 sons; Jeff (Debby) Dukes of Cape Coral Florida and Bobby (Debby) Dukes of Branchville, S.C.; 3 daughters; Naomi (Boley) Wimberly of Rowesville, S.C., Mary Alice (Ron) Butler of St. Petersburg, Florida and Sheryl (Pee Wee) Bookhart of Rowesville, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; Eva (Walter) Hall of Williston, S.C., Ruby (Cliff) Hefner of Hickory, N.C., Christine (Kenneth) Bickley of Elloree, S.C. and Darlene (Lin) Buck of Cordova, S.C.; 4 brothers; Vernon Summers of Branchville, S.C., James (Brenda) McAlhany of St. George, S.C., Sheckie (Melody) Summers of Branchville, S.C. and Terry Summers of Branchville, S.C. a step mother, Alice Summers and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Grove Park Hospice, Tara Hill, Barbara Burgess, Karen Young and Rev. Ken Hay. A heart felt thanks to her special care givers Stephanie Rickenbaker, Jean Judy and Ginger Jernigan

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. In Orangeburg, S.C.
