Melissa (Grady) Hornsby

Melissa Grady Hornsby, 50, of Orangeburg passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street.  Pastor Tammy Bailey will be officiating.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

Melissa was born on October 22, 1974, in McBee, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Ronnie Dexter Grady and the late Diane Mildred Heyward Grady Hoffman.  Melissa was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her husband, William “Pa” Dean Hornsby; her children, Victoria Brown (Tyler), Robert Gainey (Kristen), Ronnie Hornsby (Ashley), Ramona Morris (Sam), Trisha Cobb (Mason), Chad Blackmon; her grandchildren, Aeden Brown, Connor Craps, Annabelle Sides, Braydon Swink, Carly Gainey, Jayden Morris, Khloe Feagin, Carson Hornsby, Aubriella Morris (Skybella), Sophie Hornsby; a brother, Ronnie Grady, Jr. and many additional family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Justin McCaskill and a grandchild, Isabella Sides.
